Start with complete addresses
Provide the shipper and receiver names, street addresses, city, region where applicable, postal code where used and country. Include contact details that can be used at each end of the journey. Tell the team if the destination has delivery access restrictions or if a different party will receive the shipment.
Describe and measure the contents
List what each package contains, its quantity and intended use. For spare parts, include a useful part description and mention any batteries, fluids or other materials that need review. Record the packed weight and dimensions with units. Clear descriptions help the team identify the information needed for your route.
Confirm documentation before dispatch
Ask which commercial, packing, ownership or other documents are needed for the particular shipment. Check official requirements with the relevant destination authorities and your shipping representative. Give accurate information in the booking and keep copies of submitted documents. Do not assume that a previous shipment to a different country used the same requirements.
Understand the quote and responsibilities
Ask what the written quote includes, which transport stages are covered and who handles collection, clearance and final delivery. Confirm how any applicable duties, taxes, permit requirements or additional charges will be communicated and who is responsible for them. Availability, price and delivery timing must be confirmed for the route.
Keep track after registration
Keep your shipment reference and the original receipt. Use online tracking to review recorded checkpoints and the latest delivery estimate. If a hold appears, read its stated requirement and contact support with the reference. Checkpoints are updates recorded by the team, not continuous GPS tracking.
